Lord Mayor's Parlour Community Reception Many thanks to all those people who recently supported St Andrew's by attending the reception graciously held by The Rt Worshipful the Lord Mayor of Westminster at the Lord Mayor's Parlour.
If you remember, before we closed for the summer, we reported that the people from the John Lewis Partnership would be coming in to revamp the theatre; well, as promised, they have been in and worked their magic. Not only have they re-painted the theatre but they gave us a grant which we used to replace the stage curtains and repair all the lights!! If that wasn't enough they also very kindly re-painted the basement gym (kick-a-bout) for us. Please pop in and have a look ! A huge thank you from all of us at St Andrew's to all John Lewis personnel involved in this project.
We have also been extremely lucky recently to be able to welcome TV chef Phil Vickery to our club where he held a cookery session with a number of our own budding chefs !! Turkey fajitas were the main course for the evening and each participating Club member was presented with a British Turkey apron and a signed copy of Phil's book "A Passion for Puddings" |

After the screening Paul and Barry were delighted to accept a very generous donation of $10,000 for St Andrew's Club from the Newman's Own Foundation. "Newman's Own Foundation is proud to support the important work and programs of St. Andrew's Club, which enrich the lives of hundreds of young people from Westminster." - Robert Forrester, President and CEO of Newman’s Own Foundation. |
