St Andrew's Celebrates Careers Week

17 Mar 2023

To Celebrate National Careers Week, St Andrew's Club is highlighting two very special Members of staff. Adrian and Amina both began at the Club as Members, worked through the Youth development Programme, and have developed careers as senior members of staff at St Andrew's Club.

Adrian's journey with St Andrews Club began when he was just 12 years old, and he has been an integral part of our community ever since. His natural leadership skills were quickly recognized by the Club's former Youth Club Manager, who recommended him for the Development Programme. Over the course of 30 years, Adrian has grown from a Junior Youth Worker to the current Youth Club Manager, having served as a Senior Youth Worker and Deputy Youth Club Manager along the way.

Adrian's passion for the Club and its mission is evident in everything he does. He has played a pivotal role in the development of hundreds of young people, providing them with opportunities to explore their interests in sports, music, and the arts. As a mentor, he has been a source of guidance and support for countless young people, helping them navigate the challenges of growing up.

Adrian's dedication to the Club and the community has not gone unnoticed. Alongside CEO Sarah, he was recognized as an Everyday King and Queen of Westminster in a Victoria BID Campaign, which highlighted those who have kept the community going through the Covid pandemic.

Adrian truly is the life and soul of St Andrews Club, and we are grateful for his unwavering commitment to our mission.

Amina's journey with the Club began as a Member, where she attended holiday projects with her friends. She soon found herself participating in Snow-Camp, learning to ski and eventually became a ski instructor for other Members. Her passion for the Club led her to join the Youth Development Team, where she worked tirelessly to improve the lives of Members.

Amina's dedication and hard work was clear and she was duly promoted to Deputy Youth Club Manager in 2022. In this role, she works closely with Adrian to organize and manage the Club's day-to-day activities. Amina's commitment to the Club's and our Members, and her ability to inspire and motivate others make her an invaluable asset to the team.

Amina's journey is a testament to the transformative opportunities that the Club provides. Her success as a Member, ski instructor, and now Deputy Youth Club Manager is a testament to the Club's commitment to youth development. Amina's story is proof that with hard work, dedication, and the right support, anything is possible.
