    It's been an exciting season for St Andrew's football, with some great highlights and enthusiasm shown by all teams. Most notably our senior team ran rings round MPs from all parties, winning 9-1 in a special 150th Anniversary match against the Parliamentary team.

    Jo Stanghon and Lesley Rider, sisters, talk with real fondness and enthusiasm about the Club that has been an important part of their families' lives for nearly 100 years. Their Uncle Alfred was born locally in 1908 and joined St Andrew’s in his teens. The family has been involved as members and volunteers ever since; including running the Junior Club, football teams, and other evening activities. They just hope it will continue that way for all their grandchildren and further generations.

    St Andrew's is delighted to announce that it has been successful in the charity ballot in securing a coveted place for next year's Virgin London Marathon on 23rd April 2017.

    St Andrew’s Club turns 150 this year, marking a lesser-known milestone in the history of London. The Heritage Lottery Fund has awarded St Andrew’s a grant of over £74,000 to explore the history and impact of what has always been recognised as the oldest youth club in the world. This initiative, which is also looking at St Andrew's in the wider context of other early youth clubs in London, is being led by Andreas Persson who is working in the Club this year.

    ​Our Presentation Evening this year was on July 17 and was well attended by both members and Parents. We were fortunate enough to have the Deputy Lord Mayor of Westminster, Louise Hyams, presenting trophies to this year's winners.

    General the Lord Dannatt GCB CBE MC DL, Constable of the Tower of London kindly hosted a wonderful Carols by Candlelight event at the Tower in December.

    A member of St Andrew's Youth Club has beaten hundreds of entrants to WIN the Enterprise award, for the most entrepreneurial idea in the final of the national PhoneBrain competition

    We are proud to say that Edson has recently given inspiring interviews to both the Guardian newspaper and BBC's Newsbeat stressing the importance of clubs like St Andrew's in keeping youth occupied and motivated even though funding is scarce and clubs are facing a major reduction in local authority grants

    A project carried out in conjunction with Peabody. A group of six young people designed and created an iPhone app to help young people stay safe. The app was so successful that it is now available for public download.

    ​Over the Summer months the English National Opera ran a project with members of St Andrew’s and residents of the nearby Cardinal Hume Centre hostel.
